Breakfast: Part 1, is it really the most important meal?
This fact was passed from generation to generation in history, but, Is it as important as they say?
Breakfast in our country and in other industrialized countries have said that breakfast is the most important source of energy to start the day, taking it as an energetic pillar, and our primordial meal.
Usually the composition of this meal are mostly simple carbohydrates most of the time and often seen (cookies, donuts, sweets, sugars, etc), in some cases, the people also increase the fat content, foods low in protein, and commonly have some cheese, but just a little bit. (more worrisome factor).
If we talk about the most important meal “breakfast” to obtain energy for the day with these macronutrients, it would not be fulfilling its role. Due to hormonal factors and the composition of the foods eaten, our feeling of fatigue, tiredness, and desire to sleep will come after this food intake. It would lower the efficiency of the activity that we do in the day, therefore, the first "key" function of the breakfast, would not be fulfilled. It's not healthy! It’s logical to know that these foods are not healthy, a crescent, any sweets, cookies, butter, etc. more than many calories, simple sugars, and oxidative agents that can play against and it will not provide needs, in this case It is better to AVOID BREAKFAST, for your health. Breakfast benefits: NONE! It only adds calories, scientifically, physiologically, wherever you look, you do not see benefits in normal terms of breakfast, nor a basic breakfast of our country.
We can say that breakfast is NOT the most important meal of the day, it is one more meal, if it were a healthier breakfast with another proportion of macronutrients (more protein and fats) it could be better, more anabolic and it would have a healthier and more logical contribution, but it doesn’t make a difference. What makes the difference is the TOTAL ENERGY BALANCE DAILY, you can do 1 meal, 2 meals or 80 as it says on the street, but what makes the difference are the daily calories and then the distribution of macronutrients.
